Simply Simple

Joining in today with Lou's Nature in the Home series and this weeks theme is 'Simple'.

Oxford defines the word 'simple' as plain, basic, or uncomplicated in form, nature, or design; without much decoration or ornamentation, humble and unpretentious, you can read more here.

Hope you all enjoyed a good week, mine feels like it has been rather manic, but I am really looking forward to slowing down a little this weekend, which is looking more likely to happen on Sunday, as my doh (darling other half) is off to go and do a 30 mile fell race tomorrow, rather him than me!

A big welcome to my new followers, I am so thrilled that you have decided to stop by and hope you enjoy your visits here. For me blogging is all about writing what I do and sometimes think (that doesn't happen to often :-)), and not with the intention to get followers, but I have to say that it does feel rather special, so thank you to everyone reading this little blog of mine and for leaving comments and for stopping by, you are all very lovely!

Wishing you all a very happy weekend.

Warm wishes
Hannapat
xoxo

  1. After the past week of craziness, with school terms wrapping up, holidays to plan and all the other general mayhem, I hope we both get some quiet time for the simple things. Love the solo poppy, perfect way to illustrate the importance of taking time to ponder and just *be*. Chrissie x

I hope your weekend turns out to be just as you plan it, and I wish your doh all the very best with his run - he must be very fit to take on such a task!

  3. That poppy photo is gorgeous. Often just a simple stem in a vase is all it takes for a stunning flower display. x

  12. Hi! Your Poppy is so pretty, one of my favorite flowers. Simple is what I like. I do like to try and keep things simple, but not always successful! Wow, your husband is running 30 miles? That is great :)
    Blessings,
    Susie

    1. I completely get this dilemma as I always think simple looks so beautiful, but then I do like to flaff and generally end up with something more complicated. Yes 30 miles in this heat, bless him! xoxo
