It's a new dawn a new day a new year and ...

... I am feeling GOOD

I would like to wish you all a happy, healthy and creative 2014. I really hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and have made a positive start to the new year.

For us the break has been a haven of calm and love. The best bit was just being together and spending quality time together.

We enjoyed a trip to the Christmas Treacle market where the kids saw Santa and we soaked up the atmosphere.

The excitement was running high on Christmas eve and before we knew it Christmas morning arrived, making every wish come true.

The best bit really was just to be, to laugh, to love, to cuddle and to cry (my weakness with most movies!).

We enjoyed the simple things, but the things I like best. Little Es's newly found love for riding her bike meant that we could all enjoy a wonderful Boxing day out and really the thanks go to my wonderful man for pushing me and running back and forth to assist little Es. It really was a very special day for me and so wonderful to see the kids riding their bikes.

These are the little pleasures in life we take for granted, but when you haven't had them for years, you really know how to appreciate them. These are the moments in life that make life so precious.

We enjoyed time and days out with family to Styal Quarry Bank Mill.

Courtesy of Grandpa we had a wonderful trip to the Panto.

In the absence of a white Christmas we enjoyed some glorious days out and about but also just enjoying spectacular views from the house.

There were meals with friends and even a night out with friends without children, so all in all very civilised and enjoyable Christmas break. We all huddled on the sofa to enjoy TV tea whilst watching countless movies and played games and if I am honest, I just wanted to push the pause button. In fact I felt rather sad dropping the kids off at school on Monday and seeing hubby go off to work knowing I was coming home to an empty house. This week has taken a little adjustment for me, but I decided I wanted time to think and reflect and also time to quiet the bees in my bonnet to declutter and reorganise the house (its a bit of a January thing with me).

So apologies to those to whom I haven't replied by email, I have been pretending to live without email for a week and thank you to all those who sent lovely messages of concern over the last week, I really appreciate them. I am fine, in fact I am good, but I will share a little more with you on my next post. I would also like to thank all you lovely bloggers for your lovely gifts, you really touched my heart and made Christmas extra special. I feel very blessed to have met so many wonderful people through blogland and also to have made some special friends. I look forward to a wonderful year together and I wish you all a very enjoyable weekend.

Much love and warm wishes
Hannapat
xoxo

  5. Dear Hannapat
It sounds as though your Christmas was just about as perfect for you as could be wished for. 'Simple' seems to be the word of 2014 (for us serious hoarders, it could be a challenge!)
    Best wishes

  6. Hey Hannapat,

Your Christmas looks fabulous - lots of relaxing and fmily time. Simple peasures are the best ones, I think. I, too hve an urge t de-clutter in January and have made a start. I like the promise that January holds. However I will admit to a sense of releif when the children went back to ther respective educational establishments. I like alone time in the house. I like the quiet, and time spent by myself. is precious.

I'm glad that you received some loveliness from your blog chums. It's a great community to be a part of. I look forwrd to reading about your adventures this year.
