Hello lovelies, I do hope that you all enjoyed the weekend, it seems that quite a number of people have put up their trees and decked the halls with boughs of holly and jolly tinsel, how magical! We usually go and choose our tree in the forest around the second week of the month, but this year we have decided to make it a week earlier, so I am feeling very giddy with excitement at the prospect of dressing the tree this weekend. We have a little tradition which involves listening to only Christmas songs, and oh how I can't wait to get the old Michael Buble out, I mean who doesn't love his Christmas album??!! Generally there are also the obligatory mince pies and a bit of fizz just to sparkle things up a little. Since their first Christmas I have given little J and Es each a new Christmas decoration every year and I love seeing them put the first decorations on the tree dressed in their Santa hats, long may this tradition continue.
Now speaking of Christmas, if any of you are still after a few pressies, you can pop over to my shop, which I have JUST opened and I have filled it with a few Christmas decorations, a couple of bunnies (sorry not many left) and some lovely Tilda Nutcrackers.
Thank you to everyone for all your well wishes for Friday night, it was a very enjoyable evening and the preschool did very well out of it. I sold quite a bit and if I have to be honest I was a bag of nerves. It was quite scary putting myself out there and selling things that I have made and especially around people that I know, eeek. Fortunately it is over, phew, and I can now work on another custom order that I need to finish by the 23rd of December. Here are a few pictures that I took before the night, as I can't seem to get the couple of photos from my phone on the computer.
I still have one Bambi left that I haven't listed as yet, but plan to do so possibly tomorrow. For anyone on Facebook, please pop over to my page https://www.facebook.com/CosmosandCotton and if you fancy pressing the 'Like' button that would be great. I am trying very hard to get better at using FB, it is not something that comes natural to me.
I was also really hoping to give some Christmas ideas this week, but time seems to be against me, but I promise to share one or two ideas with you over the coming week.
Wishing you all a very happy Tuesday.
Warm Wishes
Hannapat

Hello Hannapat, well it's all going on over here! Congratulations on your Etsy shop, everything looks wonderful, I wish you well with it. Your stall for the school event looked absolutely amazing, very well done. I am sorry I haven't got back to you re the Tilda angel. She is from the book 'Sew Pretty Christmas Homestyle'. I have left a comment on your facebook page, but am afraid I don't know how to like you. I changed from having a personal page to a business one and can't seem to like people, and when I leave comments it comes up as my old name which is very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteIf you would like me to photo copy the relevant pages from the Tilda book and post them to you I can. Good luck with the tree dressing it sounds wonderful. I am afraid I am too much of a control freak and like to do it myself, but I may have to let my daughter help this year as she does seem to mind not being able to.
I am thinking of having an Etsy shop, but the prospect seems a little daunting somehow.
Wishing you a magical weekend, with much love, Linda x
