Last minute bunting....

On Friday there was a moment of panic when we couldn't find all the bunting and with little time before my 40th Birthday gathering, it called for an emergency bunting project. Having just read Dottie Angel's 'easy peasy little string of happy' post, I figured with the left over fabric from the quilt I am currently working on we could have some bunting in no time.

So with a little cutting and a little sewing here and there I quickly made four metres, which didn't seem enough, and then another four metres were quickly assembled with the end result look pretty much like this.

Even though it looks a bit like I have forgotten the old washing out, I kinda like it.

There was also an intention to crochet some lovely little covers for my Hellman's mayo jars, but time hasn't been that kind, or erm shall I say I haven't been that organised. So what can a gal do on the last minute, yes that's right if in doubt Mod Podge it! So with a little paper, Mod Podge and 20 minutes there were two pretty flower vases ready to be filled. Little E joined in and did her own little project whilst I was doing this.

Another last minute project was making these cute little tin can lanterns. They are such a clever idea and for anyone interested you can follow this link on my Craftiness Pinterest board.

That's it for now, I will be back soon with some pics of a very lovely day. Wishing you all a relaxing Sunday, I know that's what in store for me anyways.

Warm wishes
Hannapat

    1. Thanks Andrea, yes I did buy this Mod Podge over here, you can find it online, but really it is just one part water to one part pva, so you can mix it yourself for a tenth of the price. I just had some left to use. xoxo

  12. Wow, what wonderful little projects. I have to admire you that you just knocked them up! Clever and efficient! I bet it all looked fabulous for your party. That bunting looks so easy to make and so effective, but of course you do have to have a great stash of fabric to begin with to make it look as good as yours. Happy belated 40th! xxx
